The Tidal Sleep
There’s a new German band making it’s way to the top. The Tidal Sleep from Mannheim started playing in the summer of 2011 and already achieved a hell of a lot.
In their 8 months of existence they recorded a full lenght LP with 7 incredible sounding songs. All songs are streaming for free on Bandcamp here: http://thetidalsleep.bandcamp.com/.

This EP was picked up by Avocado Bookings who put them on the german part of the tour Defeater and Code Orange Kids are playing in juli!

I Am A Curse
I hope hearts are refillabel, because these guys sure spilled and spit out theirs on their first EP Prequel for an unforgiving wreckage : Barren Lands.
I Am A Curse is a 4 piece heartfelt melodic hardcore band from Le Mans, France. They toured with Birds In Row and their buddies Nous Danserons Sur Vos Ruines and played shows with Nine Eleven, Celeste and Oathbreaker.

Charon (Brighton, UK)
Charon is a UK based band with a pretty unique sound in the modern hardcore scene. They got the techniques of metalcore and mix it with the feeling and emotion in modern melodic hardcore.
Gine them a listen on their Facebook page, 3 of the 5 songs from their EP ‘Migrating North’ are available in stream.
They’ll be on tour in Europe in may, no tour shedule online but keep an eye on their Facebook page and try to catch a show!
They got some pretty cool merch available in their bigcartel store and it’s pretty cheap!
We’re just Going Through The Motions baby
The new Midnight Souls record, Going Through The Motions, was released on monday!

I didn’t have the time to properly listen to the album. I heard it on the background at work about 10 times by now and enjoy every song. Each time I hear the songs I discover some new part of the lyrics, or a new guitar part I didn’t notice before, a bassline,… I’m glad I didn’t take my time to really listen to the record the first time. Now, every time I ‘discover’ a new aspect of a song there’s this boost, ‘fuck yeah, this is a nice part’ or ‘damn, these lyrics touch me’.
Hearing everything the first time in a single listen would have been too much, plus once you heard it, the boost isn’t as big as the first time. The way I’m checking out the album now prolongs the liking of the album, and I’m sure to enjoy the album for a looooooooong time. Can’t wait to hear it live!
The songs on Going Through The Motions are more perfected, lyrics are more heartfelt. The album in it’s whole is just touching and straight-forward at the same time. If you like their previous songs, you’ll LOVE the new album!
Also try to see them at a show, they’re even more overwhelming live than on cd. Definitly impossible to be disappointed after seeing them perform live.
The releaseshow for the new album is in 2 weeks. The line-up is quite perfect with The Carrier, Together, Lasting Traces, Daggers, The Homeless and of course Midnight Souls. Facebook event online here!

new Crooks (uk) EP
On march 16th, Foxxes start their tour with Crooks. Both bands visited the studio the last month and are releasing their EP’s as a FREE download. The Foxxes EP will be out in a few weeks, Crooks released theirs, called Nevermore, last week.

They descibe themselves as “An attempt at bridging the gaps between desperation, aggression, hope and honesty but somehow getting stuck naked somewhere in the middle of nowhere screaming your lungs out.”
Their songs are made up from a solid guitarsound with lyrics screamed desperatly over it. Rather down-temp compared to most hardcore acts from Germany. There’s room for vocal-only parts that make you think of La Dispute, yet Continents plays harder and rougher.
Definitly check them out, maybe/hopefully we’ll see them in Belgium this summer.

Xerxes premieres 2nd new song
Xerxes is releasing a new record on march 13, just in time for their Euro tour with Midnight Souls!

The Homeless - All In Gravity
The Homeless from Dendermonde & Hamme made a promo video for their EP ‘Enjoy Poverty’. This record focusses around the idea that you don’t need money to be happy and that love is the most important thing in your life and that you should never give up.
Just never give up trying to find it.
The video was shot at their rehearselspace on a secret show with Madhouse, also from Dendermonde. The people in the audience are mainly friends from both bands, tons of fun!
Make sure to check their Facebook where you can find the title song from their EP and go see them at a show when you got the chance!
