Day 11 - Collection of an artistNot a complete collection as I’m missing a CD (and not to mention the different colors), but I still love (and miss!) Midnight Souls to pieces.

Midnight Souls - Always

Midnight Souls is a band that never got the recognition they deserved. Even though the band went hard at every show, only two I attended (of about 15) had the crowd really get into it as well. It always felt like there was something missing, and it wasn’t the band’s fault.

They had it all, though. Eye-catching artwork, awesome stage presence, tumblr-pic-worthy lyrics and of course extremely passionate post-hardcore music. They didn’t tour all that much (mostly because the singer’s a teacher and couldn’t take time off in the middle of the school year, even though the likes of Touché Amoré and Defeater asked them on tour) so they were a “band’s band” for pretty much their entire career.

Still my favourite Belgian hardcore band ever and all round great dudes.
